Le séminaire en voyage
Following their January exams, each year the seminary goes on a holiday journey combined with various apostolates. This year the seminarians discovered North-Eastern France with Soissons and Meaux, Luxemburg, Belgium and then Brie-Comte-Robert where the Community has a missionary pole.
Leaving Evron on the 31st January, the seminarians were welcomed by don Vincent Clavery the parish priest of Soissons. There they visited the battle fields of World War One and were dispatched in various families for the two nights that they stayed there.
After they set off for Luxemburg where don Pascal-André Dumontt greeted them along with the archbishop Mgr Jean-Claude Hollerich who gave a conference on his role as bishop.
The next stop was Belgium with the Abbey of Rochefort and its famous brewery, then Brussels with a conference by the apostolic nuncio to the EU, Mgr Alain Lebeaupin.
The last stop was the missionary pole of the Community at Brie-Comte-Robert just east of Paris where don Régis Évain greeted the seminarians for a weekend of apostolate.
Such trips are always the occasion to develop a fraternal charity outside of the Seminary and to share their faith with all the various people met. They returned with a heart full of joy and gratitude to Evron to start the second semester of studies.
